can you load the event/item id into a global field by clicking the event so it can draw other data from my solution into another part of the layout? -
Absolutely. You use a regular client side script, so you can do pretty much anything as a result of selecting or creating an event.
I like what I see! Does the calendar work with several resources? If one office wants to book several consultants and still see all of them in the Day view. Can this be done?
/Arild Schonberg, Sweden
Yes – there’s a side-by-side resource view. You can have as many resources as you want. If you have a lot, you can scroll between multiple lists of resources.
There’s also a top-to-bottom timeline view, which shows resources along the left.
It’s all drag & drop to re-assign resources, too.
Hi,
This looks really great! If I have multiple users, is there a way to make the events a different color or typeface based on the user that has put the event on?
Yes – you can point to a field in your solution specifying the color. That can be a static text field, or the result of a calculation.
Does the calendar have auto reminder and snooze for appointments?
That would be built into the event database itself. soSIMPLE Calendar just provides a user interface – that type of functionality would need to be part of your database scripting. We may be adding some sample scripts that do what you want, though. Stay tuned…
Hi, Can I put my own fields, change colors, in the web browser?
Yes, Yes and Yes.
Actually the first one needs clarification:
- What shows up on the calendar is a single field. That field can be the result of a calculation, so it can effectively be anything you’d like, including multiple fields, images, links, etc.
- Editing the event, at least by default, edits one field (not necessarily the same one).
- Our new version which will be shipping soon, includes the ability to create a custom web form by listing the fields that will be written. Contact me if you’d like a pre-release of that version.

Hello,
I see it shows when an event overlaps by placing the two alongside each other, that’s great, can it warn you that there is a conflict with appointment dates, or even use the week of year to show that another event exists within that range? Basically the same as Outlook does when there is a conflict.
Yes, you can have your script check for the conflict when it goes to save the event.
