We have multiple calendars in our database. We need to print out one of the calendars in which some associates will have a paper copy of their day calendar. They like to add notes to this print out when preparing for their upcoming appointments.

Is there a way through the URL filtering to adjust the colors to an individual calendar so it is printable friendly? Printing is not a problem we just use a snapper program to snap the calendar needed and this sends it into a PDF opening in preview. But the colors used to set different appoints can be a dark color printing gray on a B&W printer. If we can adjust the color of that one calendar then it would be better to use as a print out calendar.

    Thanks

Have you tried the built-in printing mechanism? It creates a PDF of the calendar for you. Just run the script “Calendar Utility” with the parameter “pdf”.

As for dynamic colors from the URL – that would require custom development.

I recommend instead defining another calendar in soSIMPLE Calendar Settings using all the same settings except don’t map the event color fields. Then all of the events will show up as the default color.

You can then set the default color (in the data source) to whatever color you’d like that to be.

Then, when you want to print, change the url in the web viewer to the second calendar you defined. Use the same $$hash tags and filters to keep the same day and view.
