soSIMPLE Calendar Installation Overview
Install. Thank you for trying soSIMPLE Calendar. soSIMPLE Calendar was designed to give you advanced flexibility and easy-to-use package. Once you’ve put all the files where they belong, you should be able create different views and different perspectives of your calendar pretty quickly.
Here’s the short version of what you need to do to get running with your first calendar:
1. Deploy PHP on your FileMaker Server, if it’s not already.
2. Download and Install soSIMPLE Calendar to your server
3. Open the soSIMPLE Calendar Builder remotely from FileMaker Pro

1. Create a web-enabled user within your own events database file.
2. Copy or import the soSIMPLE script to your own events file.
3. Add your calendar as “Data Source” to soSIMPLE Calendar Builder.
4. Customize the look & feel of your calendar using Themes and Options.
5. Deploy (usually just copy your web-viewer object to your database)
(again, we go into detail here)
Deploy Anywhere. Finally, and most importantly, you can now use your new calendar right within FileMaker, on the web, or inside your iCal compatible calendar (like Google, iCal, Outlook, etc.). Since most of the time you’ll be putting this right into FileMaker, here’s what you’ll need to do that:
1. Click “Add to FileMaker” from the options below your new calendar.
2. Copy the Web Viewer from the soSIMPLE Calendar Builder to your events file.
3. Run the soSIMPLE script in your events file to enable the web viewer to interact directly with FIleMaker Pro.
